The opposition party of Somaliland, Waddani has raised criticisms against the ministry of education towards the country’s slow motion development in the education sector, with party officials believing that there is still less progress in some districts of the country.
The Chairman of Waddani party, Hirsi Ali Hajji Hassan expressed sadness that the country’s education level is much lower than how it was supposed to be and recommended the ministry take actions to enhance the education standard.
Explaining why he raised the criticism against the ministry currently, Hirsi noted that as opposition parties they have a right to point out the government’s weaknesses and asked the ministry officials to consider the public recommendations.
In the past weeks, Somaliland media reported several places where students were learning in open air places and under trees while residents demanded help from the government.
