Leaders of the main opposition party in Somaliland, WADDANI said “no other ballots can proceed or predate the thirteenth November 2022 election for the presidency” warning in strong terms that President Bihi must desist from interfering with the National Electoral Commission in the discharge of its statutory duties.
This message was the crux of the special meeting with the high level European delegations to the horn of African nation.
The leader of the European delegation expressed concerns over the ongoing political impasse in the country as tension rise between the incumbent government and the opposition parties.
During the meeting, the European delegates urged the political gladiators in the country to prioritize dialogue and avoid any decision inimical to the peace of the people of Somaliland.
The Spokesperson of Waddani party briefly explained to the media the objective of the meeting and articulated that the incumbent president’s wims to extend the election dates is not only dangerous but also against the will of the general masses who appointed him to the power.
