Without providing further details, Waddani party official said Somaliland’s ruling party (Kulmiye) is battling with an internal disagreement over the top leadership of the party which has allegedly triggered the party officials to split into several groups. A criticism the ruling party has neither accepted nor denied.
Speaking to CBA TV, The shadow deputy governor of Maroodjeeh region for Waddani party Wali Abdi Jama believes the necessity of forming a reconciliation commission to immediately reconcile the allegedly conflicting sides of the ruling party over the leadership.
His statement came barely a few hours after the spokesperson of Kulmiye Party Abdinasir Buuni made a similar criticism against Waddani party and said the opposition party was divided into two factions led by the Presidential candidate of the party and the Chairman.
The Waddani party official said the emerging disagreements of the ruling party could be one of the main reasons President Bihi intended to not hold elections on time and seeks term extension so as his party can get time to resolve their contention.
