Waddani party’s top leaders arrive in Erigavo

The top leaders of Somaliland’s Waddani party have arrived today in Erigavo where thousands of supporters received them at the airport. The leaders are expected to have separate meetings with the supporters, traditional elders and the Party’s regional authorities over the current political situation in the country.

The Presidential candidate of Waddani party said Bihi could only remain as a legitimate leader if he accepts to contest and hold the presidential election, reiterated his commitment to not consider him as President when his official term ends on 13 November.

In a crowd the presidential candidate of Waddani party Abdirahman Irro said “ Muse will go by election” while the supporters intonated they needed an election at a time there is contention between the government and opposition over the election sequence.

President Bihi and his administration insisted on the political organization election to become the first election to conduct while opposition parties need no other election to come before the presidential election.
