Hargeisa (Somaliland.com) – Yesterday marked the second anniversary of the 2017 presidential election in the country.
The chairman of the opposition party, Wadani, wants to remind everyone that the best man did not win. Abdirahman Irro said in a press conference at his residence that all people regret the election of president Muse Bihi.
Waddani’s chairman said the rule of President Bihi is characterized by the division of the people of Somaliland, violating the constitution and worsening security. He further accused the president of intervening in the free market and self-enrichment.
The characteristics of Muse’s leadership in the two years in office are the following. First.the division and polarization of the people of Somaliland instead of uniting them. Secondly, breaching and breaking the constitution and the laws of the country, when his first duty is to uphold them and took oath for that. A clear example of this, is that local councils are in the office while their term has ended, and they have not received any extension.

Chairman Abdirahman Irro reiterated the position of his party to boycott the electoral commission approved by the parliament on Tuesday. He said his party is not ready to legalize the flagrant violations of the law.
Abdirahmaan Irro
I confirm again to the nation that Waddani party irrevocably boycotted cooperating with and being part of the allegedly confirmed electoral commission. The party is not ready to give legitimacy to anything that’s against the law of the country. Whether in this issue or other issues.
Abdirahman said the party will take every necessary measure to save the nation. On the other hand, he beseeched the citizens to maintain their unity and not fall for any kind attempt to divide them.
