The South west state of Somalia has announced the first 11 seats of the federal lower house election becoming the third federal member state to declare the start of the lower house election.
The regional officials did not give details on when the election process will start in their statement, but it’s widely believed to be in the following week. The announced candidates are among Somalia’s parliament Speaker and his two former predecessors.
The Prime minister of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble extended a congratulatory message to the regional authorities and praised them for their efforts to expedite the federal lower house election Process.
Roobe has been calling on federal member states to finalise their preparations and accomplish their final pending electoral duties to avoid further election delay. He wants the lower house election to end in December.
