The Swedish government has welcomed Somalia’s sustained economic reform progress.
Somalia has enacted several critical bills; including revenue, public financial management, and anti-corruption bills; crucial for economic reforms.
The Acting Finance Minister of Somalia Abdirahman Dualeh Beileh and the Swedish ambassador to Somalia Staffan Tillander discussed recent economic developments and reform progress in Somalia.
Abdirahman Beileh Dualed said they discussed Somalia’s on-going economic reforms & how to strengthen the Somali economy going forward and Sweden is a valuable partner in their national reform journey & development.
Staffan Tillander, Swedish ambassador to Somalia, affirmed Somalia’s sustained commitment to economic reforms which will help the country achieve sustainable development.
The International Monetary Fund has also lauded Somalia’s economic reform which has grown steadily, despite the difficult security situation in the Horn of Africa nation.
Officials said the Somali authorities’ continued strong commitment to economic and financial reforms have shown satisfactory performance.
