President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, joined others world leaders in extending warm congratulations to His Excellency Yoweri Museveni, President of Uganda, on the joyous occasion of Uganda’s Independence Day anniversary. Similarly, Qatar and Belarus leaders have equally sent message of felicitations to Uganda on the occasion of independence.
In a message sent to President Museveni, President Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his sincere wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Uganda, highlighting the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Uganda.
Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, along with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, conveyed similar messages of congratulations to President Museveni and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations and cooperation with Uganda.
Similarly, the Amir of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Monday sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.
In a separate message, President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus extended heartfelt greetings to President Yoweri Museveni on the occasion of Uganda’s Independence Day. President Lukashenko praised Uganda’s significant role in Africa, highlighting its election as the chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, a testament to the country’s authority and influence on the continent.
President Lukashenko emphasized the longstanding friendship and trust that underpin Belarus-Uganda diplomatic relations, spanning 25 years. The Belarusian President expressed alignment with Uganda on key international issues, advocating for a more balanced and equitable multipolar world.
The Belarusian leader also expressed readiness to enhance cooperation between the two nations, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, food security, industry, information technologies, healthcare, energy, and education. He welcomed increased contact between business communities from both countries.
