

Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble met with the United Nation’s Special Representative for Somalia James Swan over security and peacebuilding.
The two leaders discussed priorities of good governance, human rights, security, peace-building and upcoming elections in Somalia.
According to a statement of the UN office in Somalia, the UN envoy to Somalia, James Swan, was honoured to recently meet with Somalia’s new Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble to discuss security as well as social and economic developments.
It is the first face-to-face meeting between Mohamed Hussein Roble and UN envoy James Swan since Roble was appointed Prime Minister. The new Prime Minister had previously met with Somali community ambassadors to discuss the country’s electoral process which was finalized last month.
Last week the UN and Somalia signed a new five years’ cooperation pact agreement.
