Waddani party chides ruling party for poor performance

It is now three years since Somaliland President Muse Bihi came to power and the country’s main opposition party has called out the ruling party for poor performance and failing to realise their campaign promises made during the president’s election in 2017.

The main opposition party of Somaliland accused the country’s ruling party of doing nothing for the country since it came to power in 2017. The Spokesperson of the Party Barkhad Jama Batuun while addressing local media highlighted that Kulmiye has not implemented any significant projects and failed to realise their campaign promises during 2017 presidential election.

Barkhad says the ruling party had promised the public three years ago that they give more attention and prioritize issues concerning the country’s education system, social affair, economy, freedom of speech and the foreign affairs but failed to make it reality.

‘They said they would strengthen their diplomatic ties with the world, including AU, Igad and EU, as well as the US and the Arab League to support Somaliland’s recognition. Let’s even forget about realising these plans, the disunity they have created among Somaliland’s diaspora is still irreversible.’

Waddani spokesperson concluded his statement that Kulmiye’s achievements began with land grabbing and ended with beating up a vulcaniser.

‘Kulmiye’s achievements began with land grabbing and ended with beating up a vulcaniser, and you all know about it.’
