Mogadishu, May 13, 2019, — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed yesterday 3,100 Ramadan food baskets, weighing 279 tons, to the poor and displaced people in a number of directorates in Somalia, benefiting 18,600 individuals.
The director of the office of KSRelief in Somalia, Saad Al-Swaidan, said that the distribution of a total of 35,000 food baskets for the poor and displaced people for 2019 was launched today, indicating that they will be distributed across all regions and provinces of Somalia.
For his part, the Somali Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Hamza Saeed Hamza expressed thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSRelief, for the allocation of this aid to the needy families in Somalia.
