

Reports from Bosasao of Puntland State of Somalia are indicating that former state minister survives a landmine explosion that was targeted his vehicle at the centre of the town.
Witnesses have confirmed that the explosion was targeting the vehicle of former finance minister of Puntland who was identified as Haji Shire Haji Farah.
The bulletproof vehicle was hit by the landmine at the back part at a four-lane street near the former Ramadan Hotel in Bossaso.
Casualties confirmed were only injuries among his security staff.
Shire Haji Farah was one of Puntland’s presidential candidates on 2013 election won by Abdulweli Mohamed Ali Gaas, but later held the positions of Puntland’s Finance and Planning Ministries.
Security forces in Bossaso town of Bari region have not yet commented on the explosion, but in recent months, the city of Bossaso has become increasingly unstable, with bombings and killings claimed by Al-Shabaab.
